Language and locale · DE vs EN output
Which language your exposé comes out in and how to switch.
The Pitch Doctor runs a full native pipeline in both German and English. The output language is your choice, not a translation.
Default routing
- DACH visitors (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) default to German UI and German output.
- Everyone else defaults to English.
- Beta members default to English regardless of region. the beta cohort is international.
Browser language is detected via Accept-Language header; region via IP-based hint. You can override at any time in Account → Preferences.
What's actually in each language
Ninety-eight broadcaster profiles exist in both German and English (same underlying editorial knowledge, translated). All nine pipeline agents have native prompts in each language. the English pipeline is not a DE-to-EN translation; it was written from scratch for anglophone commissioning culture. The Critic's banned-phrase list, the format-fit rules, and the confidence tags ([CONFIRMED] / [TO VERIFY]) are all language-native.
If you want an English exposé for an ARTE editor or a German exposé for a BBC commissioning call, you can absolutely do that. The tool follows your language preference; the output goes where you send it.
